As part of a newly announced Presidential initiative, the university seeks faculty members to enhance its growing academic and research program in HCI. The research component of the program will build on interdisciplinary work already under way at Iowa State University's Virtual Reality Applications Center. Candidates must have a PhD or the terminal degree in their educational discipline. Successful applicants must have demonstrated research achievement in HCI and be able to establish an externally funded research group that develops national impact in HCI, and develop and teach courses that support the HCI graduate program. Senior level candidates must have an outstanding record of research achievement in the technical foundation of HCI as well as exceptional leadership capabilities. The tenured or tenure-track appointments will be made in one of the academic departments participating in the HCI graduate program. Further information can be found at http://www.vrac.iastate.edu.
